I used Thrifty Car Rental on my very first visit to Costa Rica. At the time I was unfamiliar with the ins and outs of renting a car in CR, even though I thought I had done my homework before I left home. But, I soon realized that my usual auto policy did not covered some of the demands of the car rental company, and I had to take out additional insurance. The experience was rather frustrating at the time but, thanks to the courteous and patient staff behind the counter there, they were accommodating and got me on my way fairly quickly. I rented a four-wheeler that got me through the rough roads in the region that are so prevalent in the area. I'm glad I rented there.
