Hi everyone. I have been looking for websites with information about nice condos (rentals), but haven't had much luck so far. Do any of you know a site or two that has a wide selection of condos (or just some really nice ones)? I'm looking for a condo in a new and well-kept building with a pool and preferably a gym aswell. The condo doesn't have to be big (anywhere from 75-150 square meters). I'd rather pay more for less square meters, if that gets me a nicer place. Pricerange: $400-$1000. Something like this: http://tinyurl.com/263w5x http://tinyurl.com/24bkcv I would appreciate any input. BTW: Is Santa Ana a nice place? Lasse

Santa Ana IS a nice place. You could try: Isabela rents and lists for sale many condo properties, and I've heard no complaints about her work or ethics. Sharon

I always find good rental listings at the Tico Times. However, they don't always have the most current ads. I've found that you if check their rentals on a weekly basis you'll find something good.

Hola. I have a 2 bedroom condo in San Antonio de Belen with a view of the mountains. This second floor condo is very secure in a gated complex. It has a big kitchen & living room. Back porch with laundry connections. Two bedrooms and a full bath with a shower. RE: pool and gym. You will meet many more locals if you join public facilities. At my condo there is no pool or gym but the public pool, "Ojo de Agua" is a short walk. It's a great place to meet ticas in bikinis. The new gym is 500 meters down the street. the public gym is a great place to meet new friends. The rent is only $600 p/month unfurnished. If you need furniture I can furnish the unit for a few more $$. Tuanis! tom@costaricahomebuilder.com

So sorry for the late reply guys. I only noticed your replies a few minutes ago. I've come to the conclusion that more is merrier. I'll either rent a +3 bedroom apartment in the Escazu or Santa Ana area and share it with one or two others or jump in on a similiar concept that's already established.
Thanks for the suggestions though.
Do any of you know CR laws on the topic of office space and the use of real estate? Is real estate "labelled" for use for either business or private purposes or is it possible to, for example, rent a luxurious house with a pool and use it for business purposes (have employees working there etc.)? Would love to give our employees a more relaxed environment than it is possible in an often boring, regular office.

In response to your inquiry about using housing as office. It is very common for foreigners to rent or purchase a large home and set up an office within. It is a great environment for work and living. I have lived and worked here since 1992 and if you would like to find something like that I would be glad to lead you in the right direction. Good luck!
