I'd like some feedback on what assisted type living would be worth or even interesting to some folks. I thought it might really be nice for people who don't want the responsibility of running a home or cooking any longer and limiting it to say over age 55 or 60.

I'm thinking of a very upscale 6000 plus sq foot private home with pool and garden. Well located and decorated. Each person would have their own large private room and most would have a private bath but a few of the rooms would have to share a bath with one other person. No more than 9 rooms total. Full time maid, cook, 3 healthy and tasty meals a day included. Common living and dining areas.

The rates would need to be about $900-1200 per month. It seems like very little for what you'd get but I wonder what other's think and if you would be interested in a place like this and what you think of the price. Please respond here or to my private email caribbeansoul001@gmail.com

Sounds like an great concept. The cost of assisted living facilities in Florida is expensive and the quality of care given by the mostly immigrant care providers leaves a lot to be desired. During the last year I had been going through the process of making decisions for my parents who have had health problems. The biggest obstacle that I can see based on my own parents desires is that when folks are of the age when they need this type of facility they want to be near the US based health care they perceive as being superior. You and I both know that the CIMA facility here in CR is as good if not better than most in the USA. But old folks view this differently and those are the people you will need to attract to your new business venture. Good luck! Tom

What a great idea. Seems to me that there's really an opportunity there for you. The monthly rate seems fair, as you said, considering all the amenities. Keep me posted on the status of your idea.
