I saw a t-shirt the other day that I could really relate to. It read, “This is the Oldest I’ve Been, So Far.” Well, that t-shirt got me to thinking. A lot.

I remember that old phrase that “If you’re standing on the street corner and you look down and there’s popcorn and confetti on your shoes, then the parade has passed you by.”

It’s not that 52 years old is old. It’s just that I’m beginning to have flashes of retrospect in which I think about what, in my lifetime, I’ve done right. And, done wrong. And maybe. Just, maybe, this might be the time to step outside the box, take the plunge, get a little gutsy, and re-plant myself in Costa Rica. Oh, sure, like many of you, I’ve read the books. Even the pros and cons of living in Costa Rica posted on this site. But the wanderlust of Costa Rica grows ever so stronger by the day. But, am I ready for the big move? I’ve mulled that one over, too. And, have come to the conclusion that this is the year. After all, I’ve saved a few dollars. Have fewer friends here. Am about to slip into retirement, and am, in my opinion, a prime candidate for relocation to an area that beckons to me daily. And, what the heck … if it doesn’t work out (which I doubt at this moment) … I can always head back north to the US of A and say that, yep, I gave it my best shot, cured my wanderlust, and smile on an adventure of a lifetime.

You're never ready for a move.. oh you think might be, but thats the fun of it, not knowing what's in store and I agree with you.. take the plunge check it out and you'll see what it's all about, then you can move on to your next paradise?  I have been here on and off for about 13 years and I certainly have my opinion about C.R...  Paradise is what you make it.. where ever you may be....
