The Hampton Inn at the San Jose Airport is a great hotel to stay if you have one of the early flights leaving Costa Rica. The staff is friendly and it's super close to the Airport. There are couple of restaurants close by as well as a Casino (for killing a little time. It's a clean basic hotel at prices you would expect.

My flight arrived too late in the evening to make it to Quepos by car. So, I stayed overnight at The Hampton Inn by the San Jose airport. It was a good choice. Nice accommodations, near restaurants, and a good jumping-off point for my journey to the Pacific coast. I'd highly recommend staying here.
